Topic: Reducing jpg quality setting during resize in the "Add Images" screen?

Is there a way to dial down the quality when resizing images in the "Add Images" screen of svManager?  It appears to resize at maximum jpg quality, whereas in some cases I'd prefer something like medium quality in Photoshop.

I'm using svManager version 1.8.1, build 120613 and adding images to a Juicebox gallery.

Thanks!

You are correct, the image quality default setting is 100 favouring quality over file size.

It is set in svmanager/includes/constants.php. Open the file in a text editor and look for the following lines:

// Jpg image quality for resize, max 100
define('IMAGE_QUALITY', 100);

Change the 100 to your preferred value. Photoshop isn't entirely consistent when it says 'medium' but you could start somewhere around 50.
