Topic: Help adding buttons to page

This is what I would like to add. A logo above the thumbnails, and some links underneath.

I am wondering how to go about doing that. I am familiar with old school html in notepad but anything css related is over my head.

To get under the hood and adjust things/add things, will I need an editing program of some sort?

Any help appreciated!

Please see this FAQ:
How do I add branding or a logo to my gallery?

Additionally, you could overlay an HTML element on top of a gallery of fixed dimensions with CSS using code such as the following:

<div id="overlay" style="position: absolute; top: 10px; left: 10px; z-index: 9999;">
    <img src="image.jpg" width="200" height="100" alt="logo" />

In order for this to work, you would need to make your gallery's background transparent. Please see this FAQ for details:
How do I give SimpleViewer a transparent background?
