Topic: BigCartel - XML Gallery not found

First up does simple viewer work with big cartel pages? if yes then ...

I have an issue where i get the "Gallery XML Not Found." error. I have had problems before with needing to use complete locations it http:// etc so currently my gallery folder is called "gallery" and is located in the httpdocs route. I have a test page called test and my embed code is this -

    <script type="text/javascript" src="http://theupmost.com/gallery/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
         var flashvars = {};
         flashvars.baseURL = "http://theupmost.com/gallery/";
            simpleviewer.ready(function () {
               simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '944', '670', 'transparent', false, flashvars);
    <div id="sv-container"></div>

here is the link to the page http://www.theupmost.com/Test

now i have testzine.html page which simple viewer created located here - http://theupmost.com/gallery/testzine.html which loads without issue!

any help much appreciated

Re: BigCartel - XML Gallery not found

I am not familiar with Big Cartel but in order to embed a SimpleViewer gallery in a web page you will need to be able to do the following:
(1) Upload the gallery folder to a web server.
(2) Insert HTML embedding code into the web page.
If you are unsure as to whether or not Big Cartel allow you to do both of these things, please check with their support.
However, from the information you have provided, it looks like the answer is 'yes'.

You quote your web page address as 'www.theupmost.com' but the paths in your embedding code are specified as 'theupmost.com'. Try using the 'www.theupmost.com' subdomain in the paths in your embedding code (or use relative paths instead).
All gallery files must be on the same domain as the web page containing the gallery's embedding code due to the JavaScript same origin policy security restriction. Please see this web page for further details.
