Topic: server can not find simpleviewer gallery // flash player problems

Hi there,
I am uding Dreamweaver and vieweing my website on Safari. I have all of the necessary componets for my web gallery (index.hmtl, swfobject.js etc) and when I preview my gallery, everything works perfectly. It is when I click my link in the remote server that things go awry and I get an "error: page not found" message.

Here is the link to the webgallery page: http://uniongallery.queensu.ca/art/imag … index.html

Another issue I am having seems to be a common problem on this forum site- however, I am at a loss as to how to fix my own simpleviewer gallery with the tweaks and suggestions listed in previous posts. Again, when I view my gallery locally, everything is fine. When I try to access this on the remote server, I see a message asking to get an updated version of Flash. I have the latest version and my Java is running.

Here is the link to this gallery: http://uniongallery.queensu.ca/fundrais … index.html

Any advise on these two problems would be so appreciated.

Thank you

It is when I click my link in the remote server that things go awry and I get an "error: page not found" message.

This means that there is no 'index.html' page in your http://uniongallery.queensu.ca/art/imagesforweb/ directory on your web server.
Check that you have uploaded all your files to your web server (and that they are all in their correct locations).

When I try to access this on the remote server, I see a message asking to get an updated version of Flash. I have the latest version and my Java is running.

The problem with the other gallery is that the required files have not been uploaded to the correct location on your web server.
The following files should be uploaded to your http://uniongallery.queensu.ca/fundraisers/CezannesCloset2013WebGallery/ directory.

swfobject.js
viewer.swf
gallery.xml

If you are having trouble uploading files with Dreamweaver, try using a dedicated FTP program such as Filezilla.
