Topic: How to customize the paths of images and thumbs?

Dear friends,

I'm using the SimpleViewer as my angique collection displayer. However, I need a multiple album viewer, but I have not idea how to write a PHP coding, normal html instead.
Therefore, question as following:

1 how can I customize the paths of images and thumbs?
2 How can I customize the sizes (width & height) of thumbnails?

Thanks in advance

Cannon

Re: How to customize the paths of images and thumbs?

To customize path
change the imagePath and thumbPath of the XML file

<SIMPLEVIEWER_DATA maxImageDimension="480" textColor="0xFFFFFF"
frameColor="0xFFFFFF" bgColor="0x181818" frameWidth="20"
stagePadding="20" thumbnailRows="2" thumbnailColumns="3"
navPosition="right" navDirection="LTR" title="Example Title"
imagePath="HERE" thumbPath="AND HERE">

and also have to change the XML file if you have different albums
like this..

fo.addVariable&#40;"xmlDataPath", "custom.xml"&#41;;

Re: How to customize the paths of images and thumbs?

Thanks a lot! Buddy...

I've fixed my image and thumbs paths and they work very well.
More Question...
1. If my ISP system doesn't support PHP codes, does it mean I can NOT use multiple-album? One forlder for one album instead?
(My server only support ASP)

Thanks!

I think you can...
just do it with ASP...
for example, you have the regular HTML file

<HTML>...
<HEAD>...</HEAD>
<BODY>
...
</BODY>
</HTML>

With ASP and PHP you can insert code lines, for example in the middle...
The example in PHP would be..
REMEMBER: you have to save with the extension of ASP or PHP
gal.php
for the system know you maybe have some code in it

<HTML>...
<HEAD>...</HEAD>
<BODY>
...
<?
phpcode&#40;&#41;;
?>
</BODY>
</HTML>

(i don't remember the tags for ASP, sorry)

But then, you can put it in the name of the XML file...
and have several XML files with galleries, just do it manually...

So a sample code, could be in the line you customize the XML file...

fo.addVariable&#40;"xmlDataPath", "<? echo $_GET&#91;'gal'&#93;?>.xml"&#41;;

And you call the gal, like this in the browser
http://www.someplace.com/gal.php?gal=1
http://www.someplace.com/gal.php?gal=2
http://www.someplace.com/gal.php?gal=3

And you have to only create different XML with numbers...
1.xml
2.xml
3.xml

The code for ASP maybe very similar, just ask someone that know ASP
(obviously i'am not the one  smile )
