Topic: Java Now Blocking svManager upload even after "unsafe mode" is chosen

Just updated Java, on a Mac running 10.9.1 in Safari and Firefox Java is now blocking the ability to upload to svManager even after accepting risk to run, and putting in "unsafe mode" in preferences. An error message comes up saying, "This application will be blocked in future Java security update because the JAR file manifest does not contain the Permissions attribute. Please contact the Publisher for more information."

Further details:

Re: Java Now Blocking svManager upload even after "unsafe mode" is chosen

Please upgrade to the latest version of svManager. Version 1.8.6 contains a new html5 uploader which does not use java. You can download the latest version using the same link that you received when you first bought svManager. The link is good for 5 downloads. If you have lost the link then please submit an upgrade request form.

BRILLIANTLY DONE! Thank you!

Re: Java Now Blocking svManager upload even after "unsafe mode" is chosen

I had the same problem and have just updated SV Manager but now when I go to the 'add images' screen I get the following:

Checking for html5, Flash or html4 support

This browser supports:

Image resize is off: turn on for this session

... and nothing else. I've tried it on IE and Chrome on my PC and on Firefox on my Mac, all exactly the same.

Any thoughts?
Adrian

Could you email me via the forum with a url and logon for your svManager installation and I'll take a look.

Glad to hear you have solved this one yourself. In case it helps anyone else, it seems that Dreamweaver omitted some of the new files from the upload.
