Topic: "No images specified in gallery xml" error in Iphone and Ipad

I was using simple viewer version 1.7 and the gallery plugin show the error "No images specified in gallery xml" in ipad and iphone. In desktop this looks great.

So I thought this was because of an older version issue and I upgraded the version to SimpleViewer-Pro v2.3.1.
Even after the upgradation this still showing the same error.

Can u please help me.So that my website looks great in Iphone&Ipad also.

Re: "No images specified in gallery xml" error in Iphone and Ipad

With SimpleViewer v1.7, you should not see anything on an iPad or iPhone other than a 'SimpleViewer requires Adobe Flash Player' message. SimpleViewer v1.7 does not have the ability to display a 'No images specified in gallery XML' message on an iPad or iPhone. Universal Playback (the ability for SimpleViewer to display galleries on mobile devices) was not introduced until v2.1.0.

Please post the URL to your gallery so that I can take a look and help further.

Re: "No images specified in gallery xml" error in Iphone and Ipad

Thank you for providing the URL to your gallery.

It looks like your gallery thumbnails have not been uploaded to the correct location on your web server.
According to your gallery's XML file, the first thumbnail in your gallery should be located here:
http://www.villachateau.com.au/thumbs/_MG_6301_2.jpg
However, going directly to this location in a browser results in an error 404 (file not found).
If a thumbURL leads to a missing image, the Flash Player within SimpleViewer will use the corresponding imageURL instead but the Mobile Player (used to display galleries on mobile devices) will not. This would explain why images are displayed in Flash presentations of the gallery but not on your iPad or iPhone.

Please check that the thumbnails for your gallery have been uploaded to the correct location on your web server (the http://www.villachateau.com.au/thumbs/ directory).
If they are there, then check the references to them (the thumbURL entries) in your gallery's XML file and check the permissions of the 'thumbs' folder and the thumbnail images themselves on your web server. Default permissions of 755 for folders and 644 for files should work fine.
