Topic: Caption Link to external Website doesnt work

Hey hope you can help me. I wanted to include links in my captions following your examples at http://simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/su … l#custom_1
but it doesnt work for external websites...so if I include e.g. google in your example it wont open the page....

Big times textbold textlink text
New line of text

so is there anything I have to add?

Re: Caption Link to external Website doesnt work

The link in the caption you posted should work fine.
However, please note that due to a Flash security restriction, it may not work locally (when you view the gallery from your own hard drive) but only when the gallery has been uploaded to a web server.

If you continue to experience difficulties, please post the URL to your gallery so that I can take a look and help further.

Global Security Settings panel - add location of the simpleviewer.swf file.

Re: Caption Link to external Website doesnt work

Thanks exkuba. That'll certainly allow links in captions to work locally.

The following list of steps should work:
(1) Right-click anywhere within the gallery.
(2) Select 'Global Settings...'.
(3) Go to the 'Advanced' tab.
(4) Click 'Trusted Location Settings...'.
(5) Click 'Add...'.
(6) Click 'Add Folder...'.
(7) Navigate to and select the gallery folder.
(8) Click 'OK'.
(9) Click 'Confirm'.
