Topic: Heavy customisation, check it out

Hi,

So I went through the code, great piece of stuff, and yes with a little bit of ActionScript knowledge it's fairly easy to customize the app quite deeply!

Check it out here:
http://www.damnature.com/nouvellepeau/fr/

The header is a slideshow made from SV Pro, and the gallery was just tweaked graphically with some -fake- shadows by attaching new movie clips to the stage and rotating elements.

* Don´t pay attention to the rest of the site, it's still very much under construction and buggy *

I'd be happy to share the code if anyone is interested.

A few questions for the masters!

-I haven't been able to realise the crossfade transition I wished. Could you helped me on that?

-I wanted to have the preloader to display on the current picture before showing the next picture like it is done here: http://sugardisaster.com/holga, but I can´t figure out how the preloader sequence works...

-Last, and least, I'd like to have the slideshow loop, I'm sure it's simple but to much for me:)..any hint?

Cheers again for the great work,

Olive

Felix will be here to answer most of your questions.

You can adjust the fade tween in options.as   or include a differant tween in image.as

How did you add the frame shadow?

Your link in the preloader question is not active. Will having the first pic be a very small file size work for you? Not sure I understand the problem.

nice work!

Re: Heavy customisation, check it out

oops sorry: link is http://sugardisaster.com/holga
this is the preloader behavior i´m looking for.

Re: Heavy customisation, check it out

that is the default loader position. loader bar shows on top of existing image. If your on a fast connection or viewing from your cache, you may not be seeing it.

Re: Heavy customisation, check it out

The frame shadow beneath the picture is actually just drawned on the stage smile

For the thumbnails, it's a little bit more complicated:
You have to create a movie clip with your shadow and link it as, for example, "shadowThumb".

Then in Thumb.as you have to attach this movie clip to the thumbnail.

private var mShadow_mc:MovieClip;
mShadow_mc = mBase_mc.attachMovie("shadowThumb","shadowThumb",mBase_mc.getNextHighestDepth());

That will do the trick smile

what bother me most is that the slideshow doesn´t loop.. any idea?

Re: Heavy customisation, check it out

hi there,

those image shadows are awesome, how did you change the stage to draw these in? i'd like to do something similar and be able to add borders base on jpeg's to the photos
