Topic: lots of x's...no ohs...

hello, i am brand new with simpleviewer v1.8 and need some help...

i seem to be having a similar problem as that posted on "question 4"
in the faq section. namely, i can get my simpleviewer to work properly "locally" but not online.

i have checked to see that all file names are consistant; and they are
(all lower case).

i contacted my web host (host excellence) and was told by them...
     a. all of the files were uploaded properly; that all files are sitting
on the server ready to go
     b. the "hot link protection" was NOT active

i am including my url so that you can see what is happening...

i look forward to hearing your thoughts about this matter. thanking
you in advance for your assistance.

Hey,

Nice pics! From what I can tell, you have everything set up correct, it just looks like some images are not in the images and thumbs folder. For example with image #19, I can find it in your thumbs folder http://www.weddingsbic.bigideascreation … bs/019.jpg but I can't find the full image in the images folder http://www.weddingsbic.bigideascreation … s/019.jpg. Maybe not all of the files got transferred, or they have different names. I would just verify that they have the same file names for the images and thumbs and then try re-uploading the  images. If this doesn't help, hit me back and I'll see if there's anything else I can do

Re: lots of x's...no ohs...

hey takemetamars -

first of all, thank you for your quick response and excellent suggestions.

to bring you up to speed. everything works fine now. all of the files were where they needed to be. what was wrong was that there was upper and lower case file extentions...e.g. .jpg mixed with .JPG (you were right!).

after that was sorted out, everything fell into place. thanks again...

i have another quick question that you may have an answer to. i would like to be able to offer both a "slideshow feature" as well as a "back button".

do you know if that is possible to do with the simpleviewer software. and if possible, do you know what is necessary to make that happen?

again, thanks for all of your help. btw, here is a link to my photo website. www.bigideascreations.com if you have a chance, look under "links" at weddings gallery to see the final results.   later...
