I assume you are talking about SimpleViewerAdmin? Unfortunately I don't know the answer. Try the SVA forum: http://www.redsplash.de/forum/
open your simpleviewerconfig.xml in an editor
find this part:
adminUsername="admin" adminPassword="oaisufofbo36(this could be anything)42no7t"
and replace with:
adminUsername="admin" adminPassword="21232f297a57a5a743894a0e4a801fc3"
now your login is reset:
admin
and your pass is reset:
admin

pdwulit, that horrible '21232f297a57a5a743894a0e4a801fc3' is just an md5 version for the word 'admin'. you don't have to type anything in your simpleviewerconfig.xml. just type any strong password in your svadmin under menu 'configuration', right at the top-left. if your simpleviewerconfig.xml is writable, you can reset your password with your new secret password in that admin console. don't bother with md5, the svadmin will do it for you. oh, and don't forget to chmod it back to 644 thru ftp client, cpanel or whatever available tool for that, for your own security. cheers
