Topic: TURNING CAPTIONS ON

Could some one tell me which file to edit to make the captions show up?
Thanks for your help.

Re: TURNING CAPTIONS ON

Which version are you using?
How are you building the gallery? (manually, buildgallery.hph or iPhoto plugin etc)

Are you using the pro or free version?

in any case the caption needs to be present in your gallery.xml file (the name of this file depends opn your version) like this:
<IMAGE>
    <NAME>IMG_3435bw.jpg</NAME>
    <CAPTION>Image 6/94</CAPTION>
</IMAGE>

if you're using buildgallery.php then you need to set this:
$showDownloadLinks = true;

There are many ways to white custom captions using buildgallery. I do not know anyhting about how captions are generated by app plugins.

Re: TURNING CAPTIONS ON

I have loaded your files both locally and remotely from home and the captions show up fine for me.

So sorry I can't offer any clues?
