Topic: Change color of link or text in the caption?

How can I change the color of a link or any text for that matter in the caption?

I have tried linking to a external style sheet, adding styling to the <a> tag, and using the <font> and <span> tags.  Nothing works.  Has anyone else ever figured out a way to get this to work?

I never found a solution on the forum.

Re: Change color of link or text in the caption?

My post has received 81 views but no replies so I am assuming that is because no one knows the answer.  Felix, can you help us?  I know other people must have a similar need.

Thanks so much,

Sharon

Re: Change color of link or text in the caption?

From all my research and from the other posts I believe the answer is "you can't". Despite what the FAQ says it doesn't work. The color of the text is fixed by the setting of textColor="0xFFFFFF" in the gallery.xml

You will need ot buy the pro version and modify the swf and js (unless Felix has a better idea)

Correct. The text color can not be set in the caption tag, only globally by the 'textColor' xml option. I've updated the FAQ to make this more clear.
