Topic: Load gallery's title in flash

In my flash site i open gallerys in a pop up.
Can i take only the title of the gallery in flash from svmanager files?
I will put this title on a movieclip and use it like a button.
There is a simple way to make it from gallery.xml or other files?

Re: Load gallery's title in flash

Hi

I did it manually. Created gallery first, then added every single link and wrote titles myself.

In html - easy. Don't know about flash

Re: Load gallery's title in flash

I'm not sure if this is a question about svManager or about SimpleViewer itself. You may find some help on the SimpleViewer forums.

svManager just creates and manages a set of normal SimpleViewer galleries. Each gallery has a gallery.xml file that contains the title among other things. It would be possible for a Flash application to read the xml file and extract the title (in fact that's exactly what SimpleViewer itself does) but it sounds like a lot of work.

It might be easier to do something manually like Unbearable suggests. Or maybe there is a semi-automatic solution like creating your own data file manually and then reading it from your Flash application.
