Topic: Re-posting this. Still need help

I posted this last week.

I believe the crux of my problem is that I need my Simpleviewer Pro swf to be 875 x 572. If I can get the answer to that question, I believe that the rest will fall into line.

Please reply…someone…I will really, really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Kelli

Hi there,

I have been wrestling with Simpleviewer Pro all day and still haven't been able to figure out why a few things aren't working correctly.

This is what I am trying to do:
www(dot)kellianderson(dot)com/aeni/whatineed(dot)jpg

This is what I have:
www(dot)kellianderson(dot)com/aeni/whatihave/index(dot)html

(I'll post the code for my XML options at the bottom of this post.)

My questions are:
• How can I get my caption to be positioned at the right rather than the bottom? None of the documentation spells out specifically how to do this — just that it is possible.

• Can I have a simpleviewer gallery (the swf part) that is 875 x 572?

• Why isn't my the background.gif file showing up even though I am calling it in the xml (path= images/background.gif)? It supplies the grey bar. It is 875 x 572.

• Why isn't my navPadding 65px as defined in the xml?

Thanks in advance for your help. I really appreciate it. I'm not sure what else to try at this point.

Thanks,
Kelli

Re: Re-posting this. Still need help

the crux of my problem is that I need my Simpleviewer Pro swf to be 875 x 572.

Set the dimensions of the SWF in the HTML code:

var fo = new SWFObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "875", "572", "8", "#FF00FF");

Re: Re-posting this. Still need help

Hi Felix,

Thank you so much for answering my question regarding the swf file size.

I have just three more issues that I cannot resolve:

1.) I am calling a background image (images/background.gif) in the xml as instructed, but it is not showing up. XML is below. The background.gif is 875 x 572 and it is in the images folder (I have not changed the file folder structure.) It is not a linking issue, so I am not sure what the problem is.

2.) I need my bottom navigation 65 pixels away from the bottom edge of the image. I put "navPadding="65"" into the XML code (see below.) However, the Nav is still "sticking" to the bottom of the image.

3.) How can I have my caption appear to the right of my image? I've scoured the documentation for this and it just says "it can be done with Simpleviewer Pro."

Thanks so so much,
Kelli

Re: Re-posting this. Still need help

I just realized that I have not downloaded the latest release of Simpleviewer Pro and thus do not even have the captionUnderThumbs option in options.as.

I am downloading now. I will report back to let me know if this solves any of these problems.

Thanks again,
Kelli

Re: Re-posting this. Still need help

Yeah, downloading the latest version solved all of my problems!

Thanks!
