Topic: I'm desperate

Felix, fabulous tool !!!!

I absolutely enjoy your tool, but I’m desperate now after 4 hours of trying. I just don’t get this tool running. I uploaded pictures to Flickr, they are public and in a tag called “test”. I’m sure that I have the correct ID. Whenever I start “index” I only see the two arrows to go to the left or to the right (or let’s say: to the next and previous page). Here is what I have so far:

//FLICKR GALLERY OPTIONS
// To use images from Flickr, uncomment this block
fo.addVariable("useFlickr", "true");
fo.addVariable("user_id", "30087573@N08");
fo.addVariable("tags", "test");
fo.addVariable("tag_mode", "all");
fo.addVariable("showTakenByText", "true");

// XML GALLERY OPTIONS
// To use local images defined in an XML document, use this block
fo.addVariable("useFlickr", "false");
//fo.addVariable("xmlURL", "gallery.xml");
//fo.addVariable("maxJPGSize","1200");

Whenever I change the setting underneath XML GALLERY OPTIONS to:

………………
//fo.addVariable("useFlickr", "false");
……………………

Or

…………………
fo.addVariable("useFlickr", "true");
……………………….

I can only see a black screen and the arrows are gone.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

Andy

Re: I'm desperate

Due to Flash Player security restrictions, Flickr galleries will only work when uploaded to a web server. For more details, check the FAQ, Question 2: http://www.airtightinteractive.com/proj … r/faq.html

Re: I'm desperate

Thanks for the answer, but I have another question.

Reading your answer I have to upload/store the pictures on my web server. But how do I connect Flickr and the pictures on my server. I tried to google it, but without any luck.
