Topic: High def. images showing only partly

Hi I set a gallery, but when I want to show whole image there just appear a part of the image see here:

That first image real size is 6260 x 4485
My XML is : maxImageWidth="850" maxImageHeight="700"
My Flash Options are set to:
fixedLayout:Boolean = false;
enableImageDownScaling:Boolean = true;

Why it is not Showing the whole image?!?!?!

I'm pretty sure that Flash can only handle images up to 2880 x 2880.
I've done a few quick tests that seem to confirm this.

I recommend you resize down your images.  6260 x 4485 is very large for displaying on the web.

Well Some of the images are very large because the Press need to download them for press image, so they got to be large :-(

You'll have to scale them down for use in SimpleViewer.
Put the scaled down images in a folder (eg. "slides") and point SimpleViewer towards this folder via imagePath="slides/" in gallery.xml.
Put the originals in another folder (eg. "originals").
You can then use a caption to put a link to each original image.
eg.

<image>
<filename>image1.jpg</filename>
<caption><!&#91;CDATA&#91;<a href="originals/image1.jpg" target="_blank">Open Image In New Window...&#93;&#93;></caption>
</image>

Thanks I have done that and use your code and it all works fine now.
The problem is that when I right Click the image I get option
"open Image in New Window but it opens the same image and I would like to open the High definition image.

It works when I click on the caption under the image "open image in new window" but how can I make it open it on the right click menu.

The right-click open action is not configurable in the free version of SimpleViewer (other than switching it on/off via XML enableRightClickOpen="true/false").
I would expect it could be done quite simply by specifying a path in one of the ActionScript files in the Pro version but I have no experience with the Pro version so I'm afraid I am unable to help you further.

The right-click open action is not configurable in the free version of SimpleViewer

Thanks MonkeyBoy, Since this is about SimpleViewer-Pro Id like to keep asking :-)

I found the AS that deals with the Image link and its like:

public function openImageLink(){
        getURL(mXMLManager.imagePath + mXMLManager.imageFileNames[mCurrentImageIndex],"_blank");   
    }
...............................................
Now its pointing at current image.
How could i change the path to large Images, something like: largeImagePath
into XML and imageFileNames[mLargeImageIndex]

I'd try changing the code to:

public function openImageLink&#40;&#41;&#123;
getURL&#40;"originals/" + mXMLManager.imageFileNames&#91;mCurrentImageIndex&#93;,"_blank"&#41;;
&#125;

Then put all the originals into a folder named "originals" and the scaled down versions into the path specified by "imagePath" in the xml file (making sure the names of each original and scaled down image are the same as each other).

I would have wished not to use the caption in the XML file
and have the right click message to open the HD image but
it works fine as it is so . thanks!
