Topic: I've tried everything!

Ok, so I've had SimpleViewer for a couple of days now, and I got the hang of it pretty quickly and started adding galleries to my websites.
But a yesterday I found a problem with one gallery showing pictures on my computer but not when I upload them.
I've checked the names of all the files
I've cleared the cache on here multiple times
I've even scrapped the whole thing and started again.

What I don't get is why all the other sections work, but just this one decided not to play
If anyone wants to look it's
jonrichardson 110mb com
Under galleries, you'll see all the rest work, but not the one marked "Latitude"
Any help would be greatly apreciated, as I'm gonna start tearing my hair out soon.

Thanks,
Sorrel

http://jonrichardson.110mb.com/Latitude 2008/images/Lat081.jpg does not exist. Check your image paths.

Re: I've tried everything!

Yeah, they are...
But I agree when you type in the direct link it doesn't show up
This may not be a SimpleViewer problem, but if anyone has any suggestions...?

Re: I've tried everything!

Try replacing:

imagePath="" thumbPath=""

in 'gallery.xml' with:

imagePath="./" thumbPath="./"

As unlikely as it sounds, I've seen it make a difference before.

Edit:
Having looked at the 'gallery.xml' files for the other galleries, the above will probably not solve your problems.
However, there are also a few stray <caption/> entries in the 'gallery.xml' file for 'Latitude 2008'.
Captions should be enclosed in <caption></caption> but there are 5 odd <caption/> entries present.

Re: I've tried everything!

That must be getting broken in uploading then because they are fine on my computer
*sigh*
Thank you everyone for your help so far

Re: I've tried everything!

Oops, my bad.
There seems to be nothing wrong with your 'gallery.xml' file.
<caption/> is just the browser's way of displaying an empty tag (ie <caption></caption>) so no worries about corrupt uploads (at least of that file!).

Sorry for the confusion.

Re: I've tried everything!

Think I might have found something...
The file extension for Lat081 in the images folder is .JPG (uppercase).
Replace .jpg with .JPG in the Latitiude gallery.xml and see how you get on.

Re: I've tried everything!

Oh you darling, that did it
*Bigg smootchy kisses for you*
I really didn't think that would make a difference
Proves how little I know I guess

Thank you so much again x
