Topic: Title: Carriage Return

Anyone know how I can insert a carriage return into the Title. I'm just tryin' to pretty things up.

Thank you so much,

Re: Title: Carriage Return

FAQ 15 add %lt;br>
15. Can I add HTML formatting to the Title text?
Yes. Title text can include a limited set of HTML formatting, including hyperlinks, line breaks, font tags, bold, underline and italics. When adding HTML formatting to the title attribute in gallery.xml, you must replace the following special characters with their XML escape sequence:

& (Ampersand) &
< (Left angle bracket) <
> (Right angle bracket) >
" (Straight quotation mark) "
' (Apostrophe) '

So to add a large Times-Roman title use:

title="
Big Times Title"

Re: Title: Carriage Return

I am not sure I understand how to do this. Can you show me what I would write in the xml file if I just wanted to add a line break and have 2 title lines?

Re: Title: Carriage Return

title="Title Line1
Title Line2"

Re: Title: Carriage Return

Thanks for that!

Re: Title: Carriage Return

Note there is a typo above.

To put a line break in the middle of the title text, put this exact code where you want the text to start a new line:

Re: Title: Carriage Return

So funny - I was googling for how to put a carriage return in a simpleviewer title for a gallery I'm making, and I came upon this thread. And there is a post from me, 3 years ago, telling me how to do it! Haha!
