Re: please please help(dots shows up as a square)

The characters look odd in the xml too: http://web4architects.com/clients/TMR/team/gallery.xml

Is your XML doc encoded using UTF-8? If that's not it, try wrapping the text in a CDATA tag, or using a different apostrophe character.

<meta hxxp-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />

That way characters will be displayed correctly even by people who aren't using the "western" charset. I mean someone whose computer talks greek, russian, chinese or any other language with a different alphabet.

Re: please please help(dots shows up as a square)

You DONT need to change the charset meta tag in the index.html. This has no effect on the text in gallery.xml.

Can you see the strange question mark characters if you do a 'view source' on this page? http://web4architects.com/clients/TMR/team/gallery.xml That is the problem.

Like I said, the solution is to save your XML file as UTF-8 (check your text editors documentation for how to do this). If that doesnt do it, delete the strange chars and use a different char in it's place.
