Topic: Alternate Flash Object / Active X script solution

Though Geoff Stearn's script works wonderfully in it's native form,
I found that it was not very flexible when trying to implement the
PostCardViewer into my website design. Things such as CSS & tables
would fail to contain the script into a smaller area, centered on the
screen because of the scripts write method.

wink I have a script directly from adobe, that functions in the very
same way except you can table it, CSS it etc more flexibly & it seems to
work in multiple browsers fine (tested in ie 5, 6 & firefox).

for full details & download on the script check out: … etter.html

to see a sample of how I implemented it go to :  ---> portfolio --> photography

the rest of the portfolios use simpleviewer smile awesome I might add smile

example usage:
if this was your normal embed:

<object classid="clsid&#58;d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http&#58;//,0,19,0" width="550" height="400" align="middle">
    <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" />
    <param name="movie" value="foo.swf" />
    <param name="quality" value="high" />
    <param name="bgcolor" value="#ffffff" />
<embed src="foo.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="550" height="400" name="foo" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http&#58;//" />

then it would change to:

<script src="&#91;path&#93;/AC_RunActiveContent.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

and call the flash where ever you want to (in a div, table etc.)....

<script type="text/javascript" >
AC_FL_RunContent&#40;'codebase','http&#58;//,0,19,0','width','550','height','400','align','middle','src','foo','quality','high','bgcolor','#ffffff','name','foo','allowscriptaccess','sameDomain','pluginspage','http&#58;//','movie','foo' &#41;;
