Topic: Text is indenting on backside text, but only the first line

I'm using font tags for the backside text (in the gallery.xml file), and the first row of text of each title and description gets indented. If the text wraps to the next line, it's pushed all the way to the left, so the alignment is off.

I've seen another site that uses the font tags in the xml, but the text stays left-aligned (not indented).

How can I fix this?

Do you have any extra spaces in your description tags?

No. I've checked that repeatedly. Here's some sample code:

<tiltviewergallery>
    <photos>
        <photo imageurl="imgs/Indian.jpg">

Springs

                Logo creation.

        </photo>
        <photo imageurl="imgs/noble.jpg">

Noble

                Logo creation.

        </photo>

I have a link to the image, but can't post it since I don't have enough posts.

delete the line breaks after the
open tag

I tried that already - it has no bearing on the output.

So nothing then?

I told you the solution but you said it was wrong. Whats the URL?

Re: Text is indenting on backside text, but only the first line

The site isn't up yet - it's in development. regarding your solution: 1. I tried it and it didn't work. 2. I saw another site that had the spacing correct that did have line breaks in the code.

I found a workaround (although it's not perfect), but the problem ultimately is that adding a font tag in the XML adds an extra space to the text equivalent to the font size of the letters you're using. If I add multiple font tags within the xml title and description text, it will add an extra space to that text in every place I do it. I find it hard to believe no one else has this issue unless there's another cause of it with what I'm doing.

Could modifying the javascript file fix this?

Re: Text is indenting on backside text, but only the first line

are you using a cdata tag? Check step 5 here: http://www.airtightinteractive.com/proj … truct.html

This works without adding extra spaces or line breaks:

<![CDATA[This is a HTML text description.]]>

I'll give that a try - thanks.
