Topic: How do I edit the index.html file?

I can't even get past step 2 of your installation instructions.

"Edit 'index.html' in your gallery folder using any text editor. Set the 'useFlickr' option to true: "

I managed to open the file in MS Word, but all I see is a black page with instructions to install java.

Obviously that's not the problem.

Someone please tell me how to get to the actual index file code to edit it.

thanks

Re: How do I edit the index.html file?

in windows start>run> type wordpad > ok

Inwordpad file>open> browse to where the index.html is> change file type to all documents> select > index.html > open.

set fo.addVariable("useFlickr", "false"); from false to true.

remove // from the beginning of the following lines and add your information.

        //fo.addVariable("useFlickr", "true");
        //fo.addVariable("user_id", "48508968@N00");
        //fo.addVariable("tags", "jump,smile");
        //fo.addVariable("tag_mode", "all");
        //fo.addVariable("showTakenByText", "true");

follow the rest of the directions.

save and you should be done.

Re: How do I edit the index.html file?

here is what I see when I open the index.html file

(add dots where spaces are!!)

Please help!!

Re: How do I edit the index.html file?

fixed it!!

If on a mac and using Apples 'Text Edit'.....open file via the 'Open' button and check 'ignore rich text commands'

it would appear text edit can display html as a browser does, but of course it ain't got flash!!...

when this option is check it appears to open as a plain old html file!!

at last!!
