Topic: Embedding into Flash

Hi,

I seem to be having some sort of brain fart and haven't found the answer by searching the forum.

I have a flash site already designed and would like to embed a single gallery on one of the page (obviously with the viewer).

I have tried utilizing the AS from the sample - but it still doesn't work.

I know a few people have had the same issue and am wondering if anyone could shed some light on how to make it work.

Place an empty movie clip on the stage and name it

In the actions frame for that page paste. 

var galleryName:String;
var myMovieClipLoader = new MovieClipLoader();
myMovieClipLoader.addListener(this); 

function loadGallery(theXML){

galleryName = theXML;
myMovieClipLoader.loadClip("viewer.swf",nameOfTheEmptyClip); 

}

function onLoadInit(){   
  _root.xmlDataPath = galleryName;
}

loadGallery("gallery.xml");

That should about do it.

When I use this script, all I get is the loading bar.  It goes from grey to white, then stops, and just sits full on the screen.  What am I missing?

is the gallery.xml in the same folder as the swf?
