Topic: Galleries Work on Mac Not On PC

I have been making a couple galleries for a few different websites.  And they all work on my Mac at home and on my Mac at work.  The galleries work on safari and opera.  However, when client or boss try to view on pc all they get is a white box that has an unusable scroll bar.  I have searched the forums for an answer.  The index.html file is set at 100%.  My boss can view the simple viewer on our webpage still so it is not a plugin or compatability issue.  So, I tried to take the viewer file that he could view into my new galleries and still no luck.

I guess I should also tell you that i created in photoshop.  And I am uploading using filezilla.  www vsncom com/customsign/gallery2 html      is one of the sites that the viewer is not working right on pc.  Another one is www hendersonport com/Workforcetraining html       One that my boss CAN view is www vsncom com/flash/index html

It has to do with how are you embedding the gallery. In the one that works you are using SWFObject and in the other two your are not. SWFObject should be in the simpleveiwer download file or you can get it here.

The html below is an example of how to use SWFObject

I found a fix on a different forum that worked...however when using the swf file how do i manipulate the background color?  Changing the gallery.xml file doesnt seem to do it.  www hendersonport com/Workforcetraining html

I got the background to change by adding a solid color background image.  I know there is a better way.  But, it works for now.  So, thats a good thing.

You can do that or set the background transparent.

params.wmode = "transparent";
