Topic: First gallery not loading using multiple galleries

Hi all,

OK I got my site up using multiple galleries and for some reason the first gallery is not loading. I have checked the xml and it is good, I have tested it in Flash CS3 html preview and it works fine.

But now that it is on-line when you first open Firefox and go to my site everything seems to load but then you get the message bellow the preloader bar saying "gallery not found". How ever if you reload the page everything loads like it should. This behavior does not happen in Safari though.

Here is a link to the site

Any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks for any help.

Hi all,

Can any one help with this?

Re: First gallery not loading using multiple galleries

In windows it works fine in FF 3.5, but acts funny in internet exploder. The page gets stuck loading in IE, but then if you refresh or go to another gallery and then come back to the first it works fine.

When trying to load your gallery1.xml I get an error most likely, because ampersands "&" are not valid in XML try <![CDATA[Greg Gerard S&T.jpg]] or rename your image.

Re: First gallery not loading using multiple galleries

HI miker,

I removed the ampersand and that did not work. I then looked at the xml again and there were a few spaces in the names of the images so I remaned then as well and not it seems to work fine.

Does the W3C validation site have the ability to validate or show errors on xml files? It seems the more I think I understand I find more that I do not.

Again I say a giant thank you very much for all your helpbig_smile

Your welcome, you can validate XML with http://validator.w3.org/ just put http://www.yourAddress.com/theXMLFile.xml in the address field or upload the doc.
