Topic: Transparent Background

How can I set the background for my image gallery to transparent?  I am using iframes to insert the gallery in the middle of a fixed page with a background image and want to be able to see said background image "through" the gallery.  I know html but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to flash.

Hi,

You can use this Go Here. It is a great tool for embedding there is also a short easy video tutorial to help if needed. Hope this helps.

Re: Transparent Background

Ok, so I used this bit of code in the html file:

fo.addParam("wmode", "transparent");

But it just turns my background gray.

Re: Transparent Background

I figured it out.  For anyone who cares, I ended up inserting the gallery in a custom html file using the <object> tags and used the following code:

<param name="wmode" value="transparent">

Making sure there weren't any references to any type of bgcolor or what have you.

This works for me in IE 8, Firefox 3, and Opera 8 or 9 (I don't remember).
