Topic: Republish viewer.swf

I have made changes to the Options.as file and then uploaded the new viewer.swf file, but none of the changes have been made.

I made the options changes, saved the file. Then open the fla file, published, copied and uploaded.

This there a different sequence I should be using or something I did wrong?

Re: Republish viewer.swf

When you republish a new viewer.swf file the new one will be located in the web folder within the SV Pro folder. That is the one that will have your changes on it.  See here for complete instructions http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewe … html#repub

Re: Republish viewer.swf

Right, that is the one that I copied and then uploaded.

Re: Republish viewer.swf

If you are not seeing your changes in the republished SWF, there are 3 things to check:

1) Did you successfully create the new SWF? Check Flash's output window for error messages.
2) are you copying/uploading the right file? Check the creation date on the new SWF.
3) Did you clear your browser cache?

Re: Republish viewer.swf

When I republish there 100 errors.

I have checked the other two.

I just unzipped the files and then changed the Options.as file, saved it. Then republished the swf. All in the same directories that were unzipped.

Re: Republish viewer.swf

If you see error messages on publish, that means the new SWF has not been published. What are the errors?

You can see them here:

Re: Republish viewer.swf

You need to specify the colors in the Options.as with a preceding '0x' not a '#' like this:

static var imageFrameColor:Number = 0xffffff;

Re: Republish viewer.swf

Fixed that.

What do I do about the remaining errors?

Except the colors, which have been fixed.

Re: Republish viewer.swf

It's hard to tell without looking at the actual errors, but it looks like you have something weird in your Flash IDE publish settings or the FLA got corrupted somehow.

What version of Flash are you running? Do you have another copy of Flash you can use?

Try restarting Flash. Also try re-downloading the original files again and starting over.  Also check your AS2 class paths File -> Preferences -> ActionScript -> AS 2.0 Settings. What do you have listed here?
