Topic: VERY poor thumb quality. How to optimize to the max?

Hi,

I'm facing very poor thumb quality. I want to optimize them to the max because now you barely can see what's on the thumbs.
I did not change any thumb configuration (65 x 65). The images itself are from good quality.

I noticed that the quality of the thumbs was 80%. I want them with quality 100%. Where to do that?
Are there more settings, tips to optimize the thumb quality to the max?

I can send link in private If needed.

Best regards,

K.

To changes the quality of the generated images you will either change to plugin to output at the desired settings or create the images manually.

Hi Miker,

Thank you for responding.

The second option (create manually) is out of the question.

What do you mean with the plugin? Where can i find this (file)?

With kind regards,

Re: VERY poor thumb quality. How to optimize to the max?

Hello Mike,

I use a mod from a open source CMS in which the SV can be generated and which creates auto-thumbs: http://www.websitebakers.com/pages/modu … iewer.php. May be this causes the problem?

Besides that I bought the PRO version which gave me all the files.

If it does not give you options for how the thumbs are created, you will have to edit the plugin source so that it creates the thumbnails with with the desired quality.

Checkout save.php line 560

    $quality = 85;
