Topic: SimpleViewer/DreamWeaver/And Stuff

Hello!

I just bought the svManager thing and created a test gallery using SimpleViewer. I then created a test page on my actual website to see how it worked.

The gallery was created with no problems. I inserted the code from the FAQ section to embed the gallery into a HTML page. I had to change the source file to a different location, because I have the gallery files in a different folder than the actual HTML page.

Here is what the code says:

<script type="text/javascript" src="clientgalleries/testgallery/swfobject.js"></script>
<div id="flashcontent">SimpleViewer requires JavaScript and the Flash Player.
<a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/">Get Flash.</a></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
var fo = new SWFObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "900", "600", "8", "#666666");
fo.write("flashcontent");
</script>

But, when I publish it to the server and try to view it in Firefox, the section that should have the slideshow thing... is blank.

Any help to get this working correctly would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeremy

Re: SimpleViewer/DreamWeaver/And Stuff

According to your testgallery.html the viewer.swf and the gallery.xml should be found in the same folder as the HTML file, they are however in the same folder as your swfobject.js file. To make this work you either need to move around the files or point to them correctly.

var fo = new SWFObject("clientgalleries/testgallery/viewer.swf", "viewer", "900", "600", "8", "#666666");
fo.addVariable("clientgalleries/testgallery/xmlDataPath", "gallery.xml");
fo.write("flashcontent");

Re: SimpleViewer/DreamWeaver/And Stuff

Thanks for the reply.

Where do I enter this code? Between the <script type=...... >?

Re: SimpleViewer/DreamWeaver/And Stuff

Replace the code between the script tags in galleries index.html

<script type="text/javascript">
var fo = new SWFObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "900", "600", "8", "#666666");
fo.write("flashcontent");

</script>
