Topic: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

Hello,

I am working on a website that uses simpleviewer pro as a slide show. The problem I am having is that i would like the flash movie to end close to the top of the main image. Right now it is about 100 pixels above the main image. Almost as if it is allowing for vertical images that don't exist.

Here is a preview of the problem

If you notice the large gap between the header and the main image. I would like to reduce that to about 30 pixels (similar to other pages on the site)

Any help is truly appreciated. Thanks so much

Re: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

Try setting vAlign to top in your gallery.xml

Also, set 'maxImageHeight' to match your tallest image's height.

Re: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

thanks guys... that really helped the top out. Its right where i want it; however, the bottom is now the issue. I see how making the image align to the top helped, but it seems to have just kept the size of the flash movie the same and moved everything up. effectively doubling the dead space on the bottom.

take a look now (scroll down to see bottom text)

thanks again for the help so far

Re: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

Did you set a fixed height for your SWFObject and flashcontent div?

Re: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

fixed layout is set to false in the options.as file. Is that a way to get around this problem?

Re: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

your 'maxImageHeight' is set to 440 and your actual max image height is 427, hence the gap.

valign top worked great but maximageheight doesn't seem to do anything for me. still looking to get rid of the 150 blank pixels below the row of thumbs...

more suggestions?

Re: Minimize pixel size of flash movie

your SWF height is too big. set the height of the swf where the 585 is in the HTML code:

var fo = new SWFObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "100%", "585", "8", "#251811");
