Topic: Fade through color

Is there a way to add a variable that would fade through a color other than just black and white- see below-

instead of (or in addition to)
static var fadeBrightness:Number = -100;

or could i make the image's fade in alpha and make the stage the color I want...
The desired effect is that the images fade out of the background color as they move into view.

thank,
ryan

Re: Fade through color

Changing the color of the the tween is not built into the options, you could however do this by modifying the color tween in the show and hide functions in images.as.

Re: Fade through color

Thanks miker!
Thats really interesting, though Im not sure of how to do this without taking down the whole house of cards. I find the tween options in a couple places throughout the .as file, im guessing it would be set either

mColorTween = new Tween(mcLoader,"offset",sTweenFunc,-255,-255,1,false);
        mColorTween.onMotionChanged = Delegate.create(this,setColorOffset);
        mColorTween.onMotionFinished = Delegate.create(this,onColorTweenDone);

or

new Tween(mImgLoadStatus_mc, "_alpha", mx.transitions.easing.None.easeNone, 0, 100, 5, false);

could anyone give me one more clue? I feel like its right around the corner.
