Topic: Tiltview does not run on my apache 2.2 server!

Hello to all!
I have two computers at home both running xp. Everything is updated and running great. On one computer I have apache 2.2 installed and when I put tiltview in my htdocs folder and call up the index from my other computer, all I get is a black window. When I right click "movie not loaded" is in light gray text while the other two options are in black. When I go to local host on the computer with apache installed and click index in the gallery folder IE8 says waiting for local host. I have searched 8million forums....no luck.

Now I know you can't serve movies with apache, is that also true with .swf? I don't think so, because in the posts I've read, lots of people use apache for .swfobject without mention of a media server.

Does anyone have a solution?

Regards,
Moody1

Try re-uploading the tiltviewer SWF file. Possibly the SWF got corrupted.

Thanks for you response, Felix.
I did try this and it did no good. As well, I can manually open the index page and it opens up and runs and looks great! I just can't "serve" it to another.

Re: Tiltview does not run on my apache 2.2 server!

This may be what happened to others.  I was retrofitting the default tiltview index to convert it to a php file.  Every time, the player bombed.  I finally ended up pasting in code line by line and discovered what my problem was.

For whatever reason, the <base> tag prevents (in some bizarre way) the movie from loading.

Sample tag:

    <base href="http://www.foobar.com/" />

Hope this helps folks out!
