Topic: Virus Warning appears when viewing gallery with IE7

My client just informed me that he gets a virus warning when trying to open a gallery on his web site at http://www.miraclefarmslandscaping.com/gallery.htm I tried with IE7 and get warnings about a virus called HTML/Framer. This doesn't happen when I view the galleries using Firefox. Anyone know how to fix this? Obviously this kind of warning will scare off viewers.

Thanks,

I don't think this is anything to do with svManager but it does seem that somebody has compromised the security of your site – maybe by getting hold of an ftp password. I'd never previously heard of Html/framer but I did some googling and this was the most useful page I found – http://3monkeyweb.com/3monkeys/2009/07/ … -from-avg/

I suggest you view the source code for each of the suspect pages and look for something resembling the code quoted in the 3monkeyweb page. The thing to look for is the iframe. SvManager and SimpleViewer do not use iframes so if you find one and you didn't put it there yourself then it's looking suspicious. If you find the dodgy code then delete it and change all your passwords or it might come back.

Thanks. Looks like that was the issue. I found the iframe code in the index.php files of each gallery folder. Deleted and changed passwords for FTP and gallery admin. Hope that does it.

You've maybe done this already but another thing worth doing is to check-out all the computers that ever access the website ftp or hold passwords for the web site – not just your computer, but your client's and any others. Make sure they are running some good up-to-date anti-virus software and they've done a complete system scan recently.
