Topic: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

Trying to embed The Simpleviewer into an already existing website.  Have it hooked up to a Flickr account and as far as I can tell have coded everything correctly...any ideas why I might be getting this error?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much.

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

This means there are no images returned by Flickr for the query specified in your Flickr options. Did you check your tags and username are correct? Also check the privacy settings on the Flickr images are set to public.

If that's not it, please post your URL so I can take a look.

Yes, I've checked and doublechecked those because I thought that's what was going on...

I'm brand new to Flash so I'm sure that I've overlooked something...I just can't figure out what it is...

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

Flickr images are set to public.  Still no go...

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

When I visit your Flickr page it says there are no public images. To see, log out of flickr and visit http://www.flickr.com/people/46880622@N02.

Check the Flickr user's privacy settings. Login into the Flickr account. From the top menu select You -> Your Account -> Privacy & Permissions. Ensure the 'Hide your stuff from public searches' setting is set to 'No'.

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

I had this problem too.

I set my Flickr User Name, and then set my Flickr Tags, the result was "Flickr photos not found" and as well the UI locked up in the svBuilder application, forcing you to close it and reopen it.

The problem goes away if you remove your Flickr User Name and instead set your Flickr User Id. Then everything works as expected.

That is, provided you have the available images tagged, etc.

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

Was this issue ever resolved? I would like to query flicker results based on tag, but for some reason my test searches have not been working.  When I search for http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=ucsbfires&m=tags (This is a query for images tagged as "ucsbfires"), the query returns nothing, however, I KNOW that there are photos with that tag, as a search for: http://www.flickr.com/search/?w=6247001 … amp;m=tags  (searching for photos tagged "ucsbfires"
for my user id number i believe...) returns 2 pictures.  It doesn't make sense to me that ADDING ANOTHER search parameter would result in MORE results.  Any advice? thanks!

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

You should report this bug to Flickr themselves.
Looking through the Flickr Help Forum reveals that they have had several issues with tag searches in the past.

Re: "Flickr Images Not Found" Help!

Hi folks,

Our site had functional flickr galleries running through our simpleviewer wordpress plugin- until yesterday, when they suddenly started showing the error messages "Flickr Images Not Found" & "Flickr User Not Found."

I have read through multiple threads and have not been able to fix the problem. Please help!

The pages with galleries that aren't working:
"Flickr Images Not Found" http://ashevillage.org/program/urban-farm-school/
Flickr set: 72157632210797172
"Flickr User Not Found" http://ashevillage.org/program/natural-building-school/
Flickr set: 72157629098895340

Flickr user name: Kleiwerks International/ kleiwerks@yahoo.com

Many thanks!
Kathryn

@kathryn@ashevillage.org

If your galleries were previously working fine and suddenly stopped working without you having changed anything, then it sounds like something must have changed on either your web server or Flickr to cause the problem.

However, if using a Flickr Set, the Flickr Username and Flickr Tags are not required so try removing the text from the Flickr Username and Flickr Tags fields first in case this makes a difference.
