Topic: xml file not found

Hi there,

I'm a relative newbie to all of this, but I've come a long way since yesterday. I've created a gallery of  ten images that are all the same size. I'm trying to embed the gallery into a wordpress page.

This is the code I'm using to embed, which was generated by the  Kimili Flash Embed Plugin:

function drawings_pagecustom() {
if (is_drawings)  {
?>
<div id="gallery">
[kml_flashembed publishmethod="static" fversion="8.0.0" movie="http://www.davidkrevolin.com/wordpress/wp-content/simpleviewer-pro/drawings/simpleviewer.swf" width="570" height="600" targetclass="flashmovie" bgcolor="#f8f9f8" allowfullscreen="true" fvars="http://www.davidkrevolin.com/wordpress/wp-content/simpleviewer-pro/drawings/"]
<p><a href="http://adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" /></a></p>
[/kml_flashembed]
</div>
<?php } }

I've used a hook to add the gallery, since the layout of pages without a gallery will be different. Is there other code I should be adding? I believe the path is correct.

The page is located on:
http://www.davidkrevolin.com/wordpress/?page_id=18

Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated. sigh.

Kind thanks,

Jon

Re: xml file not found

Hi there,

I have resolved my issue. I used a flickr set to create the xml file. I need to style the gallery to fit the site, and upload additional images.

I had originally tried to create the gallery myself by creating the images, the thumbs, and the xml file myself. The images & thumbs would load in the svBuilder properly, which made me assume my xml file was ok.

However, when I used the svBuilder to style the gallery, save it, and then uploaded the gallery folder (named drawings) with all contents to my server, the xml file couldn't be found. I'm really not certain what I was doing wrong.

By the way, I had also tried to use the buildgallery.php script to create the thumbs & xml file. It created the thumbs, but didn't create the xml file and I'm not sure why. Oh well.

Anyway, I'm hoping the above information will help others.

Regards,

Jon
