Topic: Hide Thumbnails on Fullscreen Mode?

Is there a way to hide the thumbnails on fullscreen mode?

Currently you can not turn off the thumbnails when you are in full screen.

I'm also interested in getting a full screen option without thumbnails.  Plus the browser does not disappear on the mobile version either, like it does for other mobile sites.  Ideally I would line to go full screen, no thumbs, no browser, both mobile and non-mobile.

Re: Hide Thumbnails on Fullscreen Mode?

You can certainly have a gallery without thumbnails by setting thumbPosition="NONE" (for the Flash Player) and mobileShowThumbs="FALSE" (for the Mobile Player).
However, SimpleViewer uses only one set of configuration options for both normal and fullscreen modes and you cannot have different settings for each mode.
Also, although the Flash Player features a true fullscreen mode (displaying the gallery over the user's entire screen), the Mobile Player displays the gallery only over the user's entire browser window. This cannot be changed.

When you say that "the browser does not disappear", are you referring to the browser's address bar? If so, then this may depend on the device and/or browser you are using.

If you are looking for a more configurable HTML image viewer than the Mobile Player within SimpleViewer, then you might like to take a look at another one of our products - Juicebox.

Juicebox supports the Fullscreen API so fullscreen galleries will be displayed over the user's entire screen (on browsers which support this functionality).

Juicebox-Pro also features an API which you could use to switch off thumbnails in fullscreen mode.

Information on the differences between SimpleViewer and Juicebox can be found in this SimpleViewer news article.
