Upgrading from SimpleViewer-Pro v1.9
SimpleViewer has been upgraded to version 2.0. Check here for information on how to upgrade from 1.9. To determine which version you have, check the readme.html file in the top level of the pro download for the version number.
Why Upgrade?
SimpleViewer-Pro v2.0 has many great new features including 3 new gallery styles, Flickr integration, Fullscreen mode and international language handling. SimpleViewer-Pro v2.0 no longer requires a Flash compile to customize, all customization is done through the XML options.
Upgrade Policy
Customers who have purchased SimpleViewer-Pro are eligible for free upgrades within the same major version number. For example if you buy version 1.2, all 1.x updates are provided free of charge.
To download the latest version of a purchased Airtight product you can re-use the download link sent in your original purchase email. If you cannot locate your original download link, please fill out this form.
Customers who purchased SimpleViewer-Pro v1.9 on or after 9th December 2008 are eligible for a free courtesy upgrade to v2.0. To receive your upgrade please fill out this form.
Upgrading 1.9 Galleries to v2.0
It's easy to upgrade your existing SimpleViewer-Pro galleries to v2. The original options, images and captions will be preserved.
To upgrade your gallery, follow these steps:
- Make a copy of your v1.9 gallery folder.
- Copy web/simpleviewer.swf from the v2 pro download into your new gallery folder.
- Edit index.html in existing gallery folder using a text or HTML editor:
- Change viewer.swf to simpleviewer.swf
- add fo.addParam("allowFullScreen","true");
- add fo.addParam("allowScriptAccess","always");
- (Optional) Increase thumbnail size from 65 to 75 px. SimpleViewer will scale up smaller JPGs, but to get maximum thumbnail image quality should increase size.
