best do this by example. i just started testing SV v2, check this link in Apple Safari 5.0.1 vs. Firefox 3.6.8

i'm on latest 2010 Macbook Pro and only SAFARI loads the page ?! Why ?

this is with previous version v1.9

there is also an issue with the page being centered in v2, rather then at the top as in v1.9 - these are the TTG profiles, the v2 doesn't have the vAlign options top / center / bottom as v1 in the customizing options in LR3

is that a feature missing from v2 ? i like the sleek style of v2, but it doesn't do what i need from LR3

After enabling transparency mode:

 <script type="text/javascript">
            var flashvars = {};
            flashvars.galleryURL = "gallery.xml";
            var params = {};
            params.allowfullscreen = true;
            params.allowscriptaccess = "always";
            params.wmode = "transparent";
            params.bgcolor = "#191919";
            titleFontSize = "10px";
            swfobject.embedSWF("simpleviewer.swf", "flashContent", "100%", "100%", "9.0.124", false, flashvars, params);

the backgrond is transparent, BUT i get this strange artifact around text ?

see sample below:

how to resolve this ?
Latest Safari 5. It does the same artifact with older version 1.9 i believe:

When i try latest Firefox 3.6.3, the SV version 2 doesn't even load in Firefox !
But the version 1.9 loads in Firefox fine with no artifacts around the text. So that makes me believe the TEXT is a browser issue ?

Why the V2 does't load it in Firefox though ?

Can't get anything but a black screen in web view in Lightroom 2.3 64.  Copied the viewer.swf into the simpleviewer.lrwebengine folder but it won't function

Could be because of using customized or old version of the viewer .SWF itself.
I've a MAC, latest LR2.3 and using latest SV without problem.

The integration with Lightroom is amazing, BUT there is one draw-bag with the included generator. there is no option to adjust the QUALITY of the thumbnails and although SW uses 65x65 pix, Lightroom generates them by default 100x100.

It's possible to manually adjust the 100px to 65px, but it doesn't work the same way, Lightroom will always keep the original aspect ratio.

That wouldn't hurt so much, if the quality could be adjusted. The thumbnails generated by LR are about 20KB each, compared to the ones generated by the BUILDGALLERY.PHP script - about 4KB

That's 4x as BIG !!!

This can significantly slow down the site with loading extensive galleries. What can be done with this?

i'm by no means expert when it comes to building a website but i can do quite a lot by looking at examples or see how things are done.

you would benefit to read some tutorial here:

Another thing, if you want to know how is something done and start to understand HTML code - when you open a website (any) - click on the top bar "View - Page Source" or try the right-mouse click to see this.

This will help you understand how things works and how HTML code is linked to how things looks.

Web module to generate galleries for Adobe Lightroom and/or Aperture would be fabulous. There is a lot that can be done. I would love nice integrated shopping system in the galleries - this give me the biggest headache and so far i have to look for other product or outsource the online prints sells somewhere else.

It does not necessarily has to be integrated with online printing business, but the payment would be probably best to integrate with paypal.

All i want is to receive the payment, list of photos that the visitor ordered with specified features that we can define as well as prices - example:

print size
border style
matte/glossy finish
canvas print

I believe there is a huge demand for this solution - people like me would pay for this to get it all in one package.

I'm using the latest 1.9.1 buildgallery.php script - all i need is to display REAL filename instead of caption text. Doing this manually is crazy and prone to human error. Is there a simple way to do this simple?

Currently when i use this

// Set $bgOptions['showDownloadLinks'] to true if you want to show a 'Download Image' link as the caption to each image.
$bgOptions['showDownloadLinks'] = true;

then it allows only to show a link: "Open image in a new window" - this is exactly what i want to change and to show real file name.

I've been using SV for over a year. Today i've discovered that there is an issue with generating a gallery with more then 99 photos in a folder. Right now i have 143 photos in a folder - when i run buildgallery.php - it runs, BUT it never creates the gallery.xml

Did somebody discover this as well and found the way to FIX the PHP code?
