Hi,

:D Thanks again Steve that worked great. :D  I moved the thumbs closer to the image and took away the 100% and found the right size. Now you can see everything on smaller screens.

As a side note I finally got an intel Mac and wow what I've been missing out on in SV-Pro v2.30 is amazing! :D

Thanks again for the great help!!!!

Hi all,

Ok I have my site up and it runs great on Mac using Firefox and Safari. When I test the same site on a Windows machine in IE and Firefox there are no thumb nails also in Firefox the layout is completely wrong.

I've run multiple tests (moving the image area, made images smaller, repositioned thumbs, etc.) with no results. Again this is only happening on Windows not Mac.

Web Site Address

Any help with this would be great. Thanks.

Hi all,

Is it possible to load a .swf movie in the gallery instead of an image?

I made the gallery tested it with an image worked great. Then I removed the image form the image folder and added the .swf movie to the image folder. Replacing the name of the image with the name of the movie in the gallery.xml.

The movie .swf does not show. Is it possible? If so what am I missing. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi all,

Never mind I just found my coding error. All is working.

Hi all,

I got my site working great using DreamWeaver, after testing everything I went to upload the new galleies. I uploaded it using Filezila everything uploaded fine.

When I went to my website the front page showed fine but when I go to the first gallery "Places" everything shows up but the gallery. There are 4 other galleries that have the same thing happening. All worked great testing them in Safari but after the upload the galleries no longer show. I've tried re-uploading the svcore folder again with no luck.

Here is a link to that gallery http://www.greggerardphoto.com/test/places/index.html

Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Greg

Hi,

I went to the svcore/js folder that is in the PS script folder and both js files there already have ~ as a prefix.

In the svcore/swf both simpleviewer.swf and simpleviewer_icc.swf don't have the ~ prefix (and both transfer to the output ƒ) so I tried removing the ~ prefix on both the svcore/js files and that did not work ether.

Just fyi. Again thanks for the help.

Hi,

Ya I did add it to the SimpleViewer.jsx without over writing anything. I did try it again on a new SimpleViewer.jsx from the original ps script download with no luck.

So I'll just add the svcore folder to the newly made gallery and use the HTML embedding code. Doing this works.  :)

Thanks again.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I added the line of code on line 646. It did not work completely the simpleviewer.js file in the svcore folder did not transfer to the output folder.

I will just use the older version of the PS script (which works fine) then I'll just add the svcore folder to the new gallery folder. This process seems to work fine.

And I'll just wait till there is an update on the PS cs3 script.

Thanks again for your help :)

Hi all,

Just wanted to make sure I'm not missing something. I'm on a Mac G5 ppc using the SV-Pro v2.3.0 new Photoshop cs3 script only, and not using svbuilder v2.3.0.

The issue which I think is just because I have a ppc; Is when I make a gallery with photoshop all seems to run fine but no gallery is produced.

The folder in photoshop>scripts>SimpleViewer contains:
SimpleViewer.jsx
svcore

Inside the svcore>swf folder I put the simpleviewer_icc.swf from the SV-Pro download.

Everything is put in the output folder but the simpleviewer_icc.swf is not in the svcore>swf folder. And if I put it in there after the gallery is made it makes no difference no gallery appears. How ever if I use the older photoshop script the gallery shows fine.

Is this just a PPC thing? Or am I missing something? Thanks for any and all help.

Hi,

Thank you so much. It worked perfectly of course :D I knew it had to be something simple that I was missing.

Again thanks so much!

Hi all,

OK new issue. The image, thumb and thumb frames on my test site has a green tint (and it should not be). I've look at all the color settings and all are ok.

JUst can't seem to find where the green tint is coming from.

Heres the site and image in question www.greggerardphoto.com/Embedding_Test/

Any help would be great, Thanks.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I put the svcore folder into the test folder and removed the two .js file and the swf file. Still no luck. I am sure it must be something small but i just can't see it. www.greggerardphoto.com/test

File list now is;
gallery.xml
images
index.html
svcore
thumbs

Thanks for any help.

Hi all,

I am having a hard time embeding SV-Pro into a new HTML page. I looked and found this code on the SV site to embed into an existing HTML page.

<!--START SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED.-->
<script type="text/javascript" src="svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("simpleviewer.swf", "100%", "100%", "222222", true);
});
</script>
<div id="sv-container"></div>
<!-- END SIMPLEVIEWER EMBED -->

After adding the code I am unable to viewer the test gallery in my web browser www.greggerardphoto.com/test

In the test folder I have;
gallery.xml
images
index.html
simpleviewer.js
simpleviewer.swf
swfobject.js
Thumbs

I know I am missing something but cannot figure out what it may be. I'm using SV-Pro v2.3.0 and an older svBuilder v2.0.3.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for all the info. Had no idea there was an Air v1.5.3. Also thanks for letting me know about SV Pro v2.3.0, I'm going to download that now.

This is why I like SV Pro so much it is a great product and has the best support of any download software I have every bought  :D

Thank you so much.

Hi,

The issue is not with SV Pro it is as solid as a rock. I have been using SV Pro since v1.x.

I can't run the svBuilder v2.3.0 because Adobe Air no longer supports Mac ppc. After Adobe Air v2.0.3 they stop there support for Air on Mac ppc .

So unfortunately SV Pro v2.3.0 will not work for me because of Adobe Air not SV Pro. I hope that is not what you thought I meant. Again SimpleViewer is as solid as a rock and I use it all the time :D Actually I bought Adobe Flash a long time ago because of how solid is SV and the possibilities of customization :)

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. Again I did not think that was possible with v2.0.3, had to ask though.

I found that using the Numeric Thumb Nav Style worked in the configuration that I have.

Again thanks for the help with this older version of SV Pro. Just wish I had an intel Mac so I could get v2.3.0 it is so much nicer :D

Have a great day.

Thank you for replying. I did not think it was possible but I had to ask :)

The main problem I am trying to resolve in trying to doing this is the arrow placement for the thumb navigation. I have a 1 column with 7 rows with the advance arrows are at the bottom, so it is vertical and placed on the left side of the page. When you do this the arrows that advance the thumbs to the next set are stacked on top of each other and are non-functioning buttons at that point. I did try the numbered advance but I like the arrows.

Is there a way to move one of the buttons down bellow the other? So both are visible and I would think functioning then. I'm using svBuilder v2.0.3.

Thanks for any help.

Hi all,

Ok I am using SV Pro v2.0.3 because I'm on a Mac ppc G5. Is there any way to have the thumbnails scroll when you mouse over the thumbnail area?

Thanks for any help.

Thanks Felix; I didn't think I could embed the font just thought I would ask. As a side note SV Pro v2 is very well done and easy to use.  :D

Hi all,

Is there a way to embed a font for captions? I want to use something other than "Helvetica, Arial,_sans" like verdana or something easier to read. Thanks for any help.

HI,

I also had problems with that version of ie on my Mac, but then I found that the latest version of flash does not work on that ie version (which was the last last compatible one for Mac). I also tested it on a pc using ie (the latest version) and everything loaded fine.

When you republish a new viewer.swf file the new one will be located in the web folder within the SV Pro folder. That is the one that will have your changes on it.  See here for complete instructions http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewe … html#repub

Hi,

OK I was just looking at the source of the html page you have in that folder. I think there is the problem in the div tag at the bottom of that html file. Yours looks like

<div id="flashcontent">SimpleViewer requires JavaScript and the Flash Player. <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/">Get Flash.</a></div>    <script type="text/javascript">        var fo = new SWFObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "100%", "100%", "8", "#000000");
// SIMPLEVIEWER CONFIGURATION OPTIONS// To use an option, uncomment it by removing the "//" at the start of the line
// For a description of config options, go to
// http:www.airtightinteractive.com/simpleviewer/options.html
//fo.addVariable("xmlDataPath", "gallery.xml");
//fo.addVariable("firstImageIndex", "5");
//fo.addVariable("langOpenImage", "Open Image in New Window");
//fo.addVariable("langAbout", "About");
//fo.addVariable("preloaderColor", "0xFFFFFF");        fo.write("flashcontent");    </script></body></html>

It should look like

<div id="flashcontent">SimpleViewer requires Macromedia Flash. <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/">Get Macromedia Flash.</a> If you have Flash installed, <a href="index.html?detectflash=false">click to view gallery</a>.</div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        var fo = new SWFObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "100%", "100%", "7", "#000000");
        fo.addVariable("preloaderColor", "0xffffff");
        fo.addVariable("xmlDataPath", "gallery.xml");
        fo.write("flashcontent");
    </script>
</body>
</html>

There is // at the beginning of lines 4 through 11 in yours. These // tells flash not read those remove these // and that should correct the issue.

Hi,

OK first remove these files from the linda folder on the server simpleviewer.fla, uni05_54.ttf and the readme.html. Also I do not see the images and thumb folders listed in your list bellow, and there is no path made for them (if there in another location) in the gallery.xml. Are these somewhere else on the server? Also what version of SV Pro are you using?
