I noted that FAQ item previously.  My web-hosting provider has not answered my inquiry about "Hotlink Protection" but I see other people using the same service using simpleviewer successfully.

As for the Casesensitive names, i also don't think that's the problem.... Wait....  Eureka!

Thank you.  I had checked and checked this but appreciated your response so much I triple-checked.  My ftp client shows imageData.xml as imagedata.xml (locally and distant).  I had to go to the folder in explorer to note the difference.  And that was the problem.
