Not sure about lifetime updates

I bought it and since you have the Flash Source code, you can edit everything in Flash to remove all the branding you want. I did leave a little branding since I want people to download the program since it is so good.

I have a ton of images and thumbnails in many directories for many folder (thousands) and I am using simpleviewer pro and wish to customize it so that I can load a thumbnail by looking for the image name +"_sml" in that same folder

image1.jpg
image1_sml.jpg.

How do I do that? I can't find a concrete answer on the forums of what lines  I need to change.

Any help would be really great.

thanks
chris

You can try to make the paths in the XML sheet (at the top of the sheet, image and thumbnail path) to the directory on those remote drive. Would be worth a try

I just bought the simple viewer not long ago and have been trying to figure one thing out.

How to get SV to work when images and thumbnails are in the same folder

I have seen how you can put thumbnails and images in the same folder and just put something in the XML and change the viewer.as script to look for that thumbnail.

Is there a way to do it WITHOUT having to put another XML line in. For instance all my images are named
Image01, Image02
with the thumbs the same name with a _sml at the end, named
Image01_sml, Image02_sml

Is there a way to change the viewer.as code to know that the thumbnails are the same with a _sml at the end. It would save me from having to move thousands of images around.
Thanks in advnace for any help

That new customization code worked fine. You do have to put in the top of the embed section otherwise it seems to sometimes not work which makes sense since you it has to know where the XLM is kept.

Here is what is on that page that has the link (I changed it to my XML info),  where do I actual put it since now in order tto get around IE it is not a typical SWF embed?

To load XML data from a PHP script called get_data.php in the sub-folder my_data use this syntax in the object tag:
<param name=FlashVars value="xmlDataPath=activity/activity_data.xml">
And this syntax in the embed tag:
FlashVars="xmlDataPath=activity/activity_data.xml"

Below is what is on the page to embed the flash where does the above code go below, I see another person asked a similar question?? If you could actually show the code on the help page it would be very helpful.

<script type="text/javascript">
var fo = new FlashObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "800", "600", "6", "#181818");
fo.addParam("scale", "noscale");
fo.write("flashcontent");
</script>

I was working on several galleries and wanted to be able to point to different XML files for my different galleries. The problem is when I followed the instructions for customizing they all mentioned:

<param name=FlashVars value="xmlDataPath=my_data/get_data.php">
And this syntax in the embed tag:
FlashVars="xmlDataPath=my_data/get_data.php"

I am looking at their example they now are using after the IE problem (code below) and I can figure out where I should be telling it what XLM document to use?

    <div id="flashcontent">SimpleViewer requires Macromedia Flash. <a href="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer/">Get Macromedia Flash.</a> If you have Flash installed, <a href="index.php?detectflash=false">click to view gallery</a></div>
    <script type="text/javascript">
        var fo = new FlashObject("viewer.swf", "viewer", "800", "600", "6", "#181818");
        fo.addParam("scale", "noscale");
        fo.write("flashcontent");
    </script>
