I resolved this problem by install older version after moving to a new server and then upgrade with the latest version.

Try opening the 'wp-simpleviewer/wp-simpleviewer.php' file in a plain text editor and deleting lines 1024 to 1033 (inclusive).

Is there a way to create manually the folder in 'uploads', the plugin wants to create?

Yes. You can create a folder named 'juicebox' in your 'wp-content/uploads/' directory and manually assign it permissions of 777 using an FTP program such as Filezilla.

Have you try to count numbers with notepad from 0 to 1024?

Instead of telling us to count the lines 1024 40 1033 with notepad, why not just post the deleted codes for our convenience?

My mistake, I looked at the edited gallery in which blank field in background color is displayed.

I rechecked the php coding, it's correct with "ffffff". The issue is resolved. Thank.

Other question, if I choose transparent, the background color is overrode by the transparent setting?

Seems this is flickr API limitation.

The default value for the gallery's background color in WP-SimpleViewer is 'ffffff' and the 'Background Color' text field should display this. It should not be blank.
The default value for 'Background Color' is stored (and can be changed) in line 227 of WP-SimpleViewer's 'config.php' file.

The default value in my plugin is blank.

I understand your explanation.

Even only 1 tag is searched at a time, flickrTagMode="ANY" should display all search results for multiple tags.

Seems simpleviewer pro option flickrTagMode="ANY" cannot do that, it still combine multiple tags as one tag like flickrTagMode="ALL".

Probably the algorithm used in the web page is different with the pure tag search.

Any way to get the same web result with simpleviewer pro because 136 images are preferred?

1. I am using a plugin version download from the and all gallery settings are done from my browser.

2. I have to re-set the option to simulate the result, will post the URL later.

=>Latest update, reset by using flickrUserId option, but fail to see the same result I saw yesterday.

For either SimpleViewer-Pro or standard, the search result is not tally with direct search result from the  Flicker website.

I demo a search with "Puerto Princesa underground river" from the Flicker group at its URL

The return search result is 136 images.

Why the big difference for the image quantity for a same set of tag?

By logic, the same search result should be displayed by SimpleViewer-Pro with the same tag. In pro case, only 1 image is returned.

1. This support forum is specified for SimpleViewer-Pro v2, therefor my bug is found in  SimpleViewer Pro 2.2.

2. My desktop browser runs the latest Adobe Flash player and useFlash was ticked.

Why not you run the same settings from your PC first to see same problem or not instead of making your "sounds like" assumption.

Can xml files save to month folders?

I think for very large gallery like >10,000 galleries, the long list of xml under a single uploads folder is unmanageable.

1. Background color setting cannot be saved. It will always blank.

2. If I replace Flicker username (put in blank) with flickrUserId="example@??" in the pro option, the whole gallery set thumbnails are displayed. Its main image and navigation will missing.

Sorry, I though preview can be seen by public. I published them now.

Pro 2.2 link … und-river/

Free version link … und-river/

The settings are all the same for tag, "Puerto Princesa underground river" for both.

With pro 2.2, one image is displayed. … eview=true

With free version 2.2, 11 images (not 123 images as I said earlier) are displayed.

I believe something is missing in the pro version

I have a flicker image gallery with this tag, "Puerto Princesa underground river".

The simplevierwer 2.2 free version (download from wordpress) is showing 136 images, but when I replaced the swf file with pro version, only 1 image is displayed.

Can you advise what is wrong with pro 2.2 version which I just download from your server?

Total number of photos for a tag is 127, but maximum photo display by simpleviewer pro 2 is only 50.

I am using 2.12 pro version, does any setting has to be set to show up more than 50 photos?

I assume you already check the present status.

I activate wp-simpleviewer plugin for next 24 hours for you to see. Now the link directly go to flickr webpage instead of displaying a popup window.

See this URL, … onal-park/, flickr gallery works perfectly with popup window displays correctly if I disable wp-simpleviewer pluin.

FYI, previous version wp-simpleviewer plugin is not clashing with shadowbox js.

If I activate wp-simpleviewer plugin, JS viewer will be disable and the link directly go to flickr webpage.

Shadowbox JS stop working if activate WP-Simpleviewer Pro 2.1.2.

How to get around this problem?

I found two domains are facing same problem today.

Please post the URLs and we will take a look.

I already reinstall a fresh copy without any modification, no problem to call out images.

Will try mod version in another test domain, will advise you if I face the same problem.

Is that possible the server can be re-configured to disable this simpleviewer plug-in?

I found two domains are facing same problem today.

Help needed.

I just found out after adding this code, my simpleviewer plug-in stops working.

The script cannot input image files as usual and its XML file only with header, no images are called.

<?xml version="1.0"?>
<simpleviewergallery maxImageWidth="800" maxImageHeight="600" textColor="0xffffff" frameColor="0xffffff" frameWidth="0" thumbColumns="5" thumbRows="1" thumbPosition="BOTTOM" title="" showOpenButton="true" showFullscreenButton="true" languageCode="AUTO" languageList="" galleryStyle="MODERN" useFlickr="false" flickrUserName="" flickrTags=""/>

allowtransparency="true" is an attribute for an <iframe> tag in order for an iframe to have a transparent background in Internet Explorer.  As the WP-SimpleViewer plugin embeds the gallery directly into the page and does not use the <iframe> method, you do not need to use 'allowtransparency'.

I tried above approach given by you, the problem solved.

Firefox does not has menu hidden issue with flash even without this command, <params.wmode="transparent";>

Steven Speirs wrote:

To have the line params.wmode="transparent"; entered automatically in all galleries created by WP-Simpleviewer, edit the file 'wp-simpleviewer.php' (in the folder 'wp-content/plugins/wp-simpleviewer') with a plain text editor and add the following line alongside the other Flash params (around line 706).

Another question, where to append this command "allowtransparency="true""?

Mike Richards wrote:

Upgrade to the latest version of SimpleViewer, 2.1.1, set the transparency and add allowtransparency="true" to your iframe tag.

I check the source code for my wordpress page generated with simpleviewer plugin.

<script type="text/javascript" src=""></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.galleryURL = "";
var params = {};
params.bgcolor = "ffffff";
params.allowfullscreen = true;
params.allowscriptaccess = "always";
swfobject.embedSWF("", "flashContent1", "100%", "650", "9.0.124", false, flashvars, params);

I cannot see this command

params.wmode = "transparent";

How to add this command from simpleViewer plugin?

I am a naive in programming and have never used sbuilder to create and update my wordpress site.
