I had the same problem first but it turned out that it was the cache. Even if I changed the imageData.xml file simpleviewer used the cached file to render.

I suggest you use firefox and download the Developer toolbar:
https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/m … .php?id=60

With that you can very easily erase "all private data" after each change and that way your changes will take effect.

Hope that helps.

It's really weird. I have the same problem. At home my background is black in both FF and IE6. At work it is blue in IE6 (and so is yours by the way). Autoviewer however is medium gray (instead of black) at work.

I'm trying to figure out what this is about but haven't been able to find anything yet.

Thank you so much Geoff! Works like a charm. I was just about to suggest it as a feature when I read your post.

Very much appreciated!

I don't see it in IE 6 either (Firefox is fine)... just to let you know.

Edit: Heh, using IE 6 at work I do see it just fine.

Love the simplicity of SimpleViewer and I'm considering purchasing the source code. I need to know however that changing the distance between the thumbnails and displayed image (wider) is easy to do.
