Hmmm...unfortunately I think that while the user mouses over to the caption area to activate the link, if they accidentally hover over a different thumb, the caption would change from the one they want. Also, I'd have to explain this whole process on the page somewhere.

Is there a way to position the caption over the active thumbnail? If the caption pops up right there, it should be obvious what the user should do, and it would be easy to do it.

If that's not possible... I might actually have to use a different gallery package (*tear in my eye).

Thanks for the responses!

I see. Even the www subdomain does that...OK. I've installed the xml file as instructed and if all goes well you won't see me on this thread again :)

Thanks!! Love it!

HenryGale,

I was searching the forum for other "crossdomain.xml" issues, and I happen to follow one of your links. FYI there seems to be a bit of a layout/scaling issue on your site (the client's name & logo is pushed up north unless the browser window is over a certain aspect ratio): http://www.jenniferpondillophotography.com/

My installation of Simpleviewer Pro v.2.03 works great most of the time :) My client's site: http://fairwayelectric.ca

Problem: about 1/3 of the time when I load a page with a Simpleviewer gallery, I get an "XML Not Found" message, and a peek in Developer Tools shows that simpleviewer.swf is calling "crossdomain.xml". WHERE IS THIS COMING FROM? ALL of my galleries, images, xml files, swf files, swfobject.js and other files are on the same domain?!?

If I reload the page - it works! Without changing anything?!? Obviously I need it to work every time, the first time... Please help! :)

I'm trying to do something similar. I'd like the thumbnails to link to other parts of my site, rather than to a single image. I've thrown together a mock-up of what the page would look like: http://www.sepiariver.com/sr4/index2.html

This way, relatively large thumbnails could represent different gallery pages on my site, and thumbnails that don't fit within the "index" page can be accessed nicely using thumb navigation - but there doesn't seem to be any way to make thumbnails link to pages...is there?
