well there certainly is a config.php file in my files and at one point that was where I set my defaults... maybe it's a hold over from before I used the WP plugin.

My widths were all set in the shortcode - [simpleviewer gallery_id="8" bgcolor="ffffff" gallery_width ="100%" gallery_height ="600"]  guess I'm working from an old way of doing things.

Thanks for showing me where defaults belong now.

Could it be that the plugin update overwrote my default gallery settings in the config.php file?

Is there somewhere to set my gallery defaults to prevent an overwrite?

As I recreate the galleries I'm getting xml error unless I first create a WordPress native gallery of images already uploaded to the page. Then add the simpleviewer one.

Any ideas what is going on?

I have a very upset client.
I added his site to my Infinite WP admin panel so that I could keep his WordPress site and plugins updated
This is the second time that Simpleviewer has updated and I've been left with a mess

after updating Simpleviewer a bunch of the galleries have now vanished

for example http://mavericklumber.ca/portfolio/tables/item-no-0100/
there is no gallery showing on the page
the images are there
the gallery exists in the simpleviewer galleries
the shortcode is on the page

The only way I see to resolve this is to create a new gallery and delete the old one.

Why is this happening?  Is it because the galleries were created before WordPress made so many gallery changes in 3.5?

I find it so frustrating that this plugin needs the swf file uploaded each time... and that it keeps breaking.

Thank YOU!

I looked and looked

Since WordPress 3.5 changed the media gallery I can't see how to reorder images in a Simpleviewer gallery.  Is there a way?

Is it possible to replace it with an image an animated gif ? Or is it coming from a css class.

I'm also trying to change the colour of the preloader.

I've added the
flashvars$gallery_id.preloaderColor = "#ffffff";
code in as indicated and that does remove the first preloader but I'm still getting a dark grey bar.  My frame is set to white.

Can you tell me if there is a way to style this?

One of the sites is still using WordPress 3.1

I don't know when the site started doing this but it now flashes white between pages - http://susangosevitz.com

The site has been built with the simpleviewer manager but I have a test gallery (http://www.susangosevitz.com/gallery/) just ready to set live using the WP Simpleviewer Plugin

I found this http://wordpress.org/support/topic/whit … n-browsing  which indicates that it is a flash plugin issue.

Do you know how to fix this?  Has anyone else experienced this?

I just checked my other sites that use Simpleviewer and they all do it... It's just that these have white backgrounds so I didn't really notice before.

It is simpleviewer that is causing it... This site was flashing as well http://robinschurman.ca but when I deleted the Simpleviewer plugin the page transitions are now smooth.

I am using the WordPress plugin I don't want to use svBuilder ... I just want to know the code to put in the custom template php page instead of using a shortcode within the WordPress page.  I tried the code I posted above but I get a gallery XML file not found message when I try this.

I guess that the plugin is only designed for use with the shortcode.  I'll rethink my theme template.  Thanks for your help.

I can't find a gallery.xml file in the files... I assume it should be my 1.xml file but I get a Gallery XML Not Found message when I use this.  Do you see what I'm doing wrong?

<script type="text/javascript" src="<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/wp-content/plugins/wp-simpleviewer/svcore/js/simpleviewer.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
var flashvars = {};
flashvars.baseURL = "<?php bloginfo('template_url'); ?>/wp-content/uploads/1.xml";
simpleviewer.ready(function () {
simpleviewer.load("sv-container", '685px', '465px', "ffffff", true, flashvars);
<div id="sv-container"></div>

I should have said that I'm trying to embed this gallery into my custom template so I can't use the shortcode.  With the shortcode it will work in the page just not where I want it to go

Thanks I found another plugin this morning that works.  Gallery And Caption instead of jQuery colorbox

I can't get the WordPress jquery colorbox plugin to work and the plugin developer says that there is a conflict with simpleviewer.

the problem seems to be the "wp-simpleviewer"-plugin which overwrites the jQuery plugin that my plugin brings along.
Could you try switching it off to see whether my plugin is working again?

I don't want to switch off the simpleviewer as it is a live site and simpleviewer is essential to the viewing of the site.  Has anyone else had a conflict with jQuery? On my development installation of WordPress activating wp-simpleviewer does break the jQuery colorbox plugin.

The site is http://mavericklumber.ca  the page for jQuery is http://mavericklumber.ca/in-studio/
