Thank you, thank you, thank you, Steven!!!

Fantastic speedy response, and solved the problem straight away (after I re-replaced the svcore to the Pro version, because it seems that was deleted after all)

(in version 2.3.2.5 the line number is 1512)

In trying to update from 2.3.2.2, the update failed (can't remember the message). In looking at the wp-simpleviewer folder inside the Plugins folder, everything has been deleted except the svcore (Pro version) folder.
I have manually downloaded and uploaded the 2.3.2.4 folder to the correct place, replace the svcore, then gone to the Plugins in the admin page and tried to activate the new plugin... I get this message:

"Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
WP-SimpleViewer cannot assign full access permissions (755) to the wp-content/uploads folder. Please do this manually."

But the uploads folder already has 777 permissions to it, and changing it to 755 makes no difference, I still can't activate it.

Please help! I need our galleries back!

Many thanks
Mick

I have just upgraded to WP plugin SV 2.3.2.2 (Pro version) and can no longer insert a gallery because the button is giving me an error saying "screen.php" is not found and apparently required by sv-config.php:

Warning: require_once(/*****/wp-admin/includes/screen.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /*****/wp-content/plugins/wp-simpleviewer/sv-config.php on line 7

Is there a workaround? Has anyone else had this problem?

Thanks.

Just for your info... I also had this issue, hence found this post. For me there was a plugin that conflicts with SV that I had installed after SV. When I next came to make a gallery, the 'eye' wasn't there. It's FolioPress WYSIWYG. Deactivating it turns the SV eye back on.

Thank you so much for the solution!  :)

In the next month, I'm going to be adding new images frequently to a group's gallery page. I want them (and me) to be able to go to the online page and see the new photos... without them having to delete their browser cache to clear the xml data. Is there some code I can add to the xml or index page that would automatically refresh the gallery.xml?
Thanks in advance
Mick
