Hi Steven,

Don't worry about it, I think I've fixed it by just reducing the height to 75%.

Thanks very much for your help with all this.

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Steven,

I can answer that question myself, it doesn't have any adverse affect to the navigation as far as I can see, but now (again in Internet Explorer only) the background to the viewer's height has become enormous?

I've set the width at 72% and the height to 82%.

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Steven,

sorry about that, I was still half asleep. :)

Yes that seems to have done the trick.

Right you are, and changing that won't have any adverse affect when I do it to my site's main navigation?

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi Steven,

thanks for that, what I've done is set up a blank page and just added the navigation and the viewer : http://www.solent-fishing-guide.co.uk/test3.asp

However (despite fixing 2 'Type required attributes' errors in the navigation's Javascript and adding the DOCTYPE you suggested) and being successfully validated (The document located at <http://www.solent-fishing-guide.co.uk/test3.asp> was successfully checked as HTML 4.01 Transitional. This means that the resource in question identified itself as "HTML 4.01 Transitional" and that we successfully performed a formal validation of it.) the problem still persists in Internet Explorer.

Any further thoughts?

Cheers,

Chris.

Hi,

I wonder if anyone can tell me why my viewer disappears when you try to use my sites' drop-down main navigation in Internet Explorer?

Everything works fine in Chrome and Firefox.

I've tried making it 'transparent' but it makes no difference and the menu doesn't 'touch' the viewer anyway.

You can see it here : http://www.solent-fishing-guide.co.uk/test2.asp

Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Chris
