I am trying to edit the gallery.xml file so that the caption link takes the consumer to an external page with more information and the ability to purchase the product shown in the gallery.

I understand how do edit the CDATA and it all works fine at the time that I make the change.  You can click on the caption link and it take you to a check out page.

However, I had the  link revert back to the large image opening in a new window on multiple occasions.  The link to the check out page just seems to disappear!

How does this happen if I am not changing the code? any advice on how to kill my gremlin would be appreciated.
