I guess we are talking about the upload screen here? Please see the section on File size limit on the upload screen in the advanced section of the user manual.

Replying to your message about finding the php.ini file so you can change the maximum settings for file uploads.

There can be several php.ini files on a server and sometimes it's not obvious which one is relevant to you. Also some web hosts have the php.ini locked-up so you can't change it. The best way is to tell your server admin/helpdesk that you want to change the following directives in the php.ini file and ask them how to do it.

post_max_size
upload_max_filesize
